Several Sayings Are Just Simply Overused and "God"?

No offense to anyone who believes in "God" or to those who are religious but I have my own beliefs and I don't appreciate those who believe in "God" shoving their beliefs into me. You have your beliefs, I have my own. Why can't anyone respect that or anything else for that matter? And my favorites are those who go door to door prostelitizing. How would I react? I would just slam the door into their faces. Sorry, but they were asking for it. Thats bad enough these so-called religious people constantly have an answer to someone who is going through a rough time. And these sayings are not only hurtful in my opinion but way too overused. They are useless and can cause more harm than good.
And how does a saying like that really help someone? What is so inspiring about it? Perhaps there may be a small truth to it. Maybe in some cases you become somewhat immune to something that you may consider unpleasant and the more you experience it the more you may care less. But thats the exception, NOT the rule. How about if someone was raped or traumatized in any other way, how can that possibly make one stronger in the long run? Have you heard of post traumatic stress? That can ruin people's lives. I was picked on and bullied back in the day. I have very low self esteem now. People these days tell me I have a chip on my shoulder. So maybe I am still alive and kicking but my inner child and spirit isn't. I personally think if someone encounters something horrific it makes them weaker in the long run, and if you had something traumatic happen to you and you think you are stronger as a result, you are the exception! But either way, that saying is overused and just silly.
Saying#2 "God doesn't give you what you cannot handle"
Thats another saying that is just way overused and can cause more harm than good. What if you lost someone or something very close to you? The grief could cause some to have a mental breakdown. Anyone who experiences that, I guess couldn't handle what "God" gave them. I guess "God" made a bad judgment that time.
And you know what the sad thing about it it? The ones who say these things are the ones who have never had to handle something stressful in their lives. Thats all I had to say.
